It is important to know that your personal data are stored  by categories (eg: e-mail addresses, bank card data, logon passwords…etc). Of course you can  modify and edit these categories  anytime or add new categories as well! Create your own categories and templates for each password-type in order to support your data storage. If you do not need a certain filed you can delete it by using the “Edit” button, but you are free to add new fields in every category.

Main list of menu in the program:

• Favourites panel – list of your most frequently used password and logon passwords
• Passwords panel – list of passwords and personal data, that you can sort by categories
• New field panel – you can sort your personal data. Here you can set up new categories, or edit existing ones.
• Settings panel – general and safety settings. Here you can chose language and theme or generate new passwords and mater password.

HOW TO HANDLE, SET UP AND DELETE CATEGORIES:

To record  your data in the program, in the e-mail category for example just enter the following fields:

• Name (e.g: e-Mails and data)
• Short description (private eMail address)
• Icon (choose from more than 50 icons)
• SMTP server
• Mail server (e.g:POP3)
• User name
• Password for eMail
• Type of connection

To register your bank card data you need the followings:

• Card type (e.g. Credit Card)
• Short description (e.g. company card data)
• Icon in the list
• Issuer bank name
• Card number
• Expire date
• Name
• PIN code
• CVC or CVV number
• Phone number
• Password

To store your website data:

• Name of the category (eg: common portals)
• Short description of the category (eg: twitter, mySpace, Facebook, Linkedln etc.)
• Icon in the category
• Website name
• Website URL name
• User name
• Password

Besides, you are free to edit existing fields or add new ones as you require. On the “new field” panel you can create new categories or  modify existing ones by using the “+” button. Important: you are allowed to delete categories only when there is no password in the given category!  To delete category in the “new field” panel just use the “Edit” button. If you see the delete icon than delete the category.

TO UPLOAD PASSWORDS:

Select the “New item” panel to upload your passwords, and just click on the right category, then fill its fields. If you have all the fields, click on “Save” button. You can sort and edit your saved passwords in “Passwords” panel.

Your uploaded passwords will be saved on “Passwords” screen, where you can choose between ABC or group sorting. Using the  “Edit” button, your passwords and personal data can be modified or deleted.

FAVOURITES PANEL:

You can organise your most frequently used passwords on “Favorite” screen, just click on “+” button to add. If you wish to design your favourite data uniquely, you can choose between ABC or manual sorting.

For a more efficient data security,it is important to know that  if you delete an item in “Favourite” panel, it will be deleted only from the “Favourite” list, and still remains in “Password” panel. Therefore you avoid data deletion in pmg PassCode program.

SETTINGS PANEL:

For a more efficient data security choose from various interesting opportunities and safety settings  form the menu: master password, generated passwords, encryption, delete data etc.  Each menu contains a short help as well.

1) General settings:

Select theme:

You can chose from 9 unique themes: BlackSteal, Jungle, RedIdea, Cosmos, MyDarling, Antique…

Select language:

Chose from English, German and Hungarian languages to use our program

Auto-lock Funktion:

If you turn on this option, the application will automatically return to the login screen after the amount of time you have previously set. This function can only be used with the Master password!

2) Safety settings:

Masterpassword:

If you want to have a logon password, just turn on this option. Important! Your master password must be at least 3 characters long.

Generated passwords:

Set your own unique, generated passwords! You can change the length and structure of the passwords with the slide, and the “structure” option.

Data encryption:

We protect your personal data with unique encryption. Just turn on this option and it is fully functional. Your personal data is perfectly secured this way.

Self-Destruction:

If you don’t want your personal data to get into malicious hands, just set the number of wrong tries before the application deletes your passwords and access information. This function can only be used with the Master password!

Primarily the program will be available in three languages: Hungarian, English, and German, then in the first update Spanish and French languages are planned  to be introduced as well.

There were several problems with Hungarian, as it is not supported by Apple basis, but at the end we managed to solve them.

The opportunity of exporting and synchronising data (passwords, personal data, logon ID, email access etc) slightly “frightened” my colleagues and friends. So, there are different views about it: some say it is definitely useful because your data are safely stored, while others think it is totally unacceptable that data can be exported, meaning “my wife gets an access to it” when I save my data to my PC.

The iTunes security savings will automatically save the program and the whole database. Should you accidentally delete the program, the database will be synchronised again, but “who knows”… I would personally plan a eMail and/or CSV export, in order to save all my data in one place , but “tastes are different”…
