FAQ: pmg PassCode

Use PassCode to safely store information like e-mail accounts, community and other website logins and passwords, personal IDs, bank & credit cards, eBay and merchant services logins, membership cards, bank and financial account information, wifi connects and any personal notes you want to keep safe and secure. PassCode secures your critical information using unique encryption and master password protection. It is important to know that your personal data are stored in categories (eg: e-mail accounts, credit cards, eBay and PayPal logins, Google accounts, Website logins… etc) where you can  modify and edit them anytime or add new categories as well! To support your data storage create your own categories and templates.

 

1) What is pmg PassCode?

It is a password and personal data manager made for iPhone and iPodTouch. Pmg PassCode is a Hungarian development.  You can easily store your bankcard data, e-Mail access, website registration, iGoogle access as well as other user names, passwords, and client ID-s. You can sort your data by groups, and the most frequently used items can be added to your „favourites” list.

 

2) Where can I by this product?

This product is available in iTunes (Win/Mac) where you can always download the latest version. Important! Our program is only suitable for iPhone and iPodTouch devices and in iTunes only compatible with Apple devices. You can buy the pmgPassCode program through this link.

3) How can I download this program?

Using your device just visit AppStore and when you are on our product sheet just click on the „Price” or „BuyNow” button to download the latest version. If you are using desktop operation to buy pmg PassCode, always synchronise iTunes  with your device.

 

4) Languages, themes?

The program is available in three languages: English, German and Hungarian and in 9 unique graphic themes. In the „Settings” panel you can create your own settings. Just click here to reach the related gallery.

 

5.) Can I modify default categories?

Of course. If you are in the „New item” panel, just click on the „Edit” button to scroll the categories, and then you can easily edit and modify the unique fields as you like it. In case you do not need these categories, you can delete them by using the „Edit” button on the right corner.

 

6.) How can I create new categories?

In the „New item” panel click on the „+” button in the left corner.  You can add new categories to unlimited amount, or delete/modify them by using the „Edit” button. To create sub-categories (eg. Add new fields) click on the „Add new field” button than select from: one-line text, multiple-line text, Password, Date, Phone number, Website, eMail-address and give a name to the field like: „call-centre number” in case of a phone number.

 

7.) How can I record new password or personal data?

In the „New item” panel just go to any category that you have already created and fill out the fields. Your passwords will appear in the „Passwords” panel.

 

8.) What is PASSWORDS panel good for?

Here you can see your recorded data and sort them by „ABC” or „Groups”. To have a detailed look at your passwords just click on any item in the list.

 

9.) How can I edit/modify my existing passwords?

In the „Passwords” or „Favourites” panel select an item and go to the „Edit” icon in the right corner. When you are ready, just click on the „Save” button.

 

10.) How can I add my frequently used passwords to the „Favourites” panel?

If you are in the „Favourites” panel  go to the „+” button and select the item you wish to add from the entire list.

 

11.) How can I delete an item from the „Favourites” panel?

On the „Favourites” panel go to the „Edit” button than select an item you wish to delete by using the „Delete” button. This way the selected item will only be disappear from the „Favourites” panel and still remains in the „Passwords”.

 

12.) Why does not work the „Auto-Lock” function on the Settings panel?

Because you should enter a Master Password first! You can do it in the „Settings” panel.

 

13.) Why does not work „Data-destruction” on the Settings panel?

Because you did not record your Master Password in the „Settings” panel. In this menu you set the number of unsuccessful trials before your data will be deleted from your device (eg. your telephone has been stolen).

 

14.) (COMING!) How can I make a data-saving?

There are two ways to save your data:

  • A) You can make a saving of your entire database and program using the Backup function of iTunes.
  • B) With the Backup/Restore function you can make a safety backup each day. You find this  option in the „Settings” menu.

 

15.) (COMING!) How can I restore my data?

Either with the iTUnes Restore function or with the Backup/Restore option of the program where you can upload the recorded data through a web service. Your data will be stored safety.

 

16.) Will there be a desktop application for the program to synchronize with?
